Visiting the site

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to serve pages and protect the site against attacks. This is necessary to run the site (legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not set cookies, does not use local storage and does not build profiles of individuals. We see only aggregated figures such as page views, referring sites, countries and device types. We use them to understand which content is useful (legitimate interest).

If you answer “Was this useful?” under an article, we store only a count of the answers (and the reason, if you choose one) per page and month. We do not store your IP address, a cookie or anything else that could identify you.

Writing to us

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to handle your request, for example a correction. We keep the correspondence as long as needed for that purpose.

If the portal changes owner

If Data Governance Signal is transferred to a new owner, for example through a sale, the data described herepasses to the new owner, who must continue to use it only as this notice describes.

Links to sources

Articles link to original sources on other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data we hold about you, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Write toeditor@datagovernancesignal.com.
